About Us
At the Bridge of Health and Hope global health is a priority for us. We aim to make an impact at a global scale to achieve health equity. Our main focus is to help families that are immigrants, come from rural settings, and are impoverished, but that have children who require access to health care due to serious health issues. A scarcity that is heavily prevalent amongst groups that are marginalized and that come from disadvantaged backgrounds is the scarcity of knowledge. Creating a larger network of resources for minorities with sick children is something essential because they lack the knowledge to be able to find the right doctors and places for their families to receive treatment. Countless minorities are stricken with poverty, socioeconomic disadvantages, gender biases, and other problems that affect their ability to receive medical aid, and even if resources exist to help those people, it is very difficult for these groups to pay expensive medical bills, health and dental insurance, and find someone to turn to for guidance. At BOHH we work to make sure that individuals are connected to medical resources, and necessities to live a healthier lifestyle to prevent further medical issues. We also ensure that children can receive medical care while being able to live a childhood that is as normalized as possible.
